As a small token of my gratitude, I drew you my classic celebratory trio: Champagne, ice cream & chocolate.
Enjoy! I'm enjoying it virtually too. I don't actually have any of these things in my house, and since I'm still riding the health train I won't be having them. So we'll just pretend. You know, to keep my glamorous image alive.
Anyway, I'm in awe over this, that a blog less than six months old could pull this off. Thank you again! You guys are the best. And I mean that. And not because of this contest either. But because of all the hilarious comments that make me laugh, well wishes, overflow of support and just general awesomeness that this blog has become thanks to the community of parents who hang out here. Thank you!
I'll be back tomorrow with a new post. Unless I eat too much virtual chocolate.

you deserve it. your blog is amazing for many reasons. the funny most of all, but also that it's a "mommy blog" (barf) that doesn't leave us feeling like shit because it presents parenthood in glossy, posed pictures and performance art. you are humble and self deprecating and don't present yourself as some sort of magical mother who spends all day crafting and knitting with the wool of organic alpaca that was sheared under the full moon and blessed by felted gnomes so that your children, Sage Brush Moonbeam and Bratleigh can be extra sparkly. it's really, really rare that i read a parenting blog that doesn't make me feel like the worst mom ever. i have two boys the same age as yours, so i especially enjoy it. anyway. congrats!

I love reading your blog because it is exactly that same thing I'm thinking and feeling with my kids (4 & 11 mos)...it's nice to share in the experiences with another woman who can relate on the same level and laugh at themselves and their experiences :)
PS - Your drawings are amazing! I use to do PowerPoint Slides of all the different events in my daily life (cause it gets ridiculous at times). I know the feeling of doodling to make yourself laugh at some of lifes moments!
